Ben Hammersley

Ben Hammersley is a leading international consultant futurist and speaker on the networked world. In 2014 he presented the landmark BBC television series, “Cybercrime with Ben Hammersley”. He has authored 5 books including “64 Things You Need To Know Now For Then”. Ben has reported on technology for numerous publications including The Times and the Guardian. He was deputy editor of WIRED magazine and is currently Editor at Large.

Hammersley is an author, futurist and technologist specialising in the effects of the internet and the ubiquitous digital network on the world’s political, cultural and social spheres. He enjoys an international career as a trends and digital expert, explaining complex technological and sociological topics to lay audiences, and as a high-level advisor on these matters to governments and business.

Hammersley’s TV series “Cybercrime, with Ben Hammersley” was broadcast worldwide in 2014 on BBC World News, and in the UK on the BBC News Channel. In this ground-breakng 6 part series, shot in the US, China, Nigeria, the UK and across Europe, Ben investigated the darker side of the internet: from government surveillance and NSA whistleblowers in Washington, to scammers and spammers in Lagos; from hardware hackers in Shenzhen, to cyber-warriors in London.

Hammersley is a Fellow at The Brookings Institute in Washington DC, a fellow at the Robert Schuman School of Advanced Study at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, and Innovator-in- Residence at the Centre for Creative and Social Technologies, Goldsmiths, University of London. He is also a Member of the High Level Group on Media Freedom at the European Commission. Ben is the author of five books, including the acclaimed 64 Things You Need To Know Now For Then, which is a guide to the new concepts of the modern world. He is contributing editor of WIRED Magazine and writes regularly for the international media including The Financial Times.

In addition to fellowships from the United Nations, the Royal Geographical Society and the Royal Society of Art, Hammersley was the UK Prime Minister’s Ambassador to Tech City, the East London district which aims to be Europe’s centre of innovation and the location of choice for tech and digital companies and investors. He also sits on the Tech City Advisory Board. He was also previously Head of Digital at SIX Creative where he was responsible for creating, building and managing an international team dedicated to bringing cutting-edge internet strategy, design, and production to leading fashion and beauty brands worldwide.

Alan Peasland

Al is the Head of Technical Partnerships for Red Bull Racing at their Formula One operation in Milton Keynes, UK.

Al has been with Red Bull Racing for 10 years, during which time, he has managed several large scale PLM and CAD software upgrades, as well as driving the PLM solution forwards and increasing the companies use of advanced design and management technologies.

As Head of Technical Partnerships, Al’s role is to ensure Red Bull Racing maximise their benefits from fostering relationships with the very best Technical and Innovation partners, whilst at the same time, showcasing partners solutions.

A Chartered Engineer, Al has an extensive engineering background, having almost 25 years’ experience starting out as an Aerospace Design Engineer, then moving into Automotive Transmission Design. From CAD Designer and Consultant, Al’s career has seen him move into CAD/CAM and PLM Management and then into the exciting world of Formula One Technical Partnership Management.

Al is a highly experienced presenter, and is a key contact at Red Bull Racing for delivering technical reference visits to key Innovation Partners, in addition to representing Red Bull Racing at corporate and industry events.

Noam Fine is a serial entrepreneur, currently acting as General Manager at iam+ innovation center in Israel. Under his role Noam is overseeing operations, driving innovation and forming partnerships focused on the integration and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies and experiences.

Noam joined iam+ in late 2015 when iam+ acquired Sensiya, a startup he founded and served as its CEO from inception to acquisition.

iam+ was founded in 2013 by - artist, singer, performer 7 times Grammy winner and tech entrepreneur. The company serves as a multi-disciplinary hub, focusing on culture tech: where fashion, style, music and art meet technology.
