Moving to Flexible Working

Many business already have some form of flexible working, albeit informal, in their business practices. In this presentation Plantronics will share how they moved to embrace the benefits of flexible working, including reducing their real state needs by more than 50%, and the lessons they learnt in the process.

The project was simply called “4-3-2-1” and its’ only stated objectives were to “get everybody into the same building” and “save the company some money”. The physical journey from four offices to one has run in parallel with a wider intellectual debate across the industry about how to drive the greatest value from resources and people. How do you improve productivity? Does flexible working really work? What technology is needed? Where, how and when people actually do their work these days anyway?Clare does not have all the answers, but has first-hand experience of the technology enhancements, office move (s) and has managed her team through the process. Plantronics is still evolving, however practices what it preaches. Implementing a Unified Communications solution worldwide has changed how everyone in the organisation can and does work.
