VC Co-ordinator and Librarian
Woodford County High School, Redbridge
Danielle Horn came from a Collection Management background in museums to join WCHS in 2014 as the School Librarian. Inheriting the VC kit with the role, Danielle undertook to champion video conferencing in the school, an area in which she had no prior experience. She is WCHS’ VC coordinator, custodian of the VC kit and she proactively seeks to improve the content and service provision to bring an enriched virtual learning environment into Woodford.
An advocate of life-long learning and a naturally inquisitive information specialist, Danielle has mastered the functionality of the VC hardware and scheduling software to develop a diverse range of VC events at Woodford from the ground up.
This has largely been made possible with the ingenuity, support and knowledge of Woodford’s IT department but also through memberships within Video Conferencing for Global Learning (VCfGL) and the Redbridge Video Conference Development Group (RVCDG). These Redbridge Groups collectively aim to improve and expand VC content and service provision for Redbridge schools. It is our ethos to establish partnerships through live, secure connections offering our students opportunities they would not normally have access to.
