AVIXA Diversity Event

The AVIXA Diversity Council is a group of AVIXA members interested in bringing together AV/IT and integrated experience professionals from various backgrounds and cultures to facilitate a larger dialogue around initiatives of inclusion within the industry.

AVIXA™ is the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, producer of InfoComm trade shows around the world, co-owner of Integrated Systems Europe, and the international trade association representing the audiovisual industry. Established in 1939, AVIXA has more than 5,400 members, including manufacturers, systems integrators, dealers and distributors, consultants, programmers, rental and staging companies, technology managers, IT professionals, content producers, and multimedia professionals from more than 80 countries.

The session at UCEXPO is the 2nd UK event for the council following the inaugural event in March attended by 115 Technology industry professionals looking for ways to increase diversity and inclusion in the UK AV/IT/UC industry.

The moral, legal and business case reasons for diversity and inclusion are a given but the AV industry demographic still falls short of other tech industries in this area. This session will focus on solutions to facilitate the development of increased diversity and inclusion in the AV/IT industry, with case studies and examples followed by an in-depth panel discussion to give attendees practical suggestions to take away and make a change.
